Ford CEO Thanks Trump for "KlLLlNG Biden’s insane regulations"

Ford CEO:  “Thanks to Trump KlLLlNG Biden’s insane regulations, we can finally build CHEAPER cars in America again!”

Ford CEO Jim Farley thanked President Trump for his administration's actions on two main fronts in late 2025: the rollback of federal fuel-economy standards and new tariff policies.

Specifically, Farley expressed gratitude for Resetting Fuel Economy Standards. In a White House meeting on December 3, 2025, Farley praised the new "Freedom Means Affordable Cars" initiative which rescinded strict Biden-era Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. He called the move a "victory for common sense and affordability," stating it would allow Ford to invest more in affordable, U.S.-made vehicles and give customers a choice in powertrains (gas, hybrid, or electric) rather than forcing EVs upon them. The administration claimed this change would save American families over $109 billion in total.

Favorable Tariff Policies: In an October 2025 earnings call, Farley thanked the Trump team for new tariff policy developments, which included credits for U.S. domestic production. These policies help Ford offset the cost of imported auto parts, making the company "no longer disadvantaged" for building all of its Super Duty trucks in the United States. This was expected to reduce Ford's net tariff impact for the year from a potential $2 billion to about $1 billion.
