Jasmine Crockett says white people aren’t allowed to use the word “oppression”

During a House committee hearing debating the "Dismantle DEI Act," Rep. Jasmine Crockett challenged Republican claims that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives constituted "oppression."

Crockett argued that the term was being fundamentally misused by white male colleagues and asserted that "there has been no oppression for the white man in this country."

Crockett provided the dictionary definition of oppression as "prolonged, cruel or unjust treatment or control" and starkly contrasted it with the historical experiences of Black Americans, including slavery and systemic inequality. Her argument was that white men hold significant power in American society, a position she claimed is incompatible with actually being oppressed.

Her comments sparked a heated political debate and significant media attention regarding the historical context of systemic racism and the modern application of the term "oppression" in U.S. politics.

Long story short, Jasmine Crockett is an idiot.
