It was illegal for a reason, but they decided to try it anyway. Now a teen was hospitalized and lucky to be alive after jumping off a cliff in San Diego, hitting the ground, and then bouncing into the water.
On Saturday, July 25th, a 17-year-old suffered serious injuries following a failed cliff jump at San Diego’s famous but dangerous Sunset Cliffs.
The unidentified teen made a daring leap from the rocky bluffs, sprinting full speed toward the edge. But he didn’t clear the rock shelf below, landing hard on his back and hips against part of the cliff before tumbling into the ocean.
Lifeguards had to help get him to the hospital to address his injuries.
