Eric Swalwell Admitted Sleeping With Chinese Spy, FBI Files Confirm

Declassified FBI memos confirm Eric Swalwell confessed to a sexual relationship with a suspected Chinese spy.

The former Democratic congressman, who built his entire political persona around screaming about foreign meddling in American elections, has been fully exposed by the very agency he once relied on for credibility. According to the newly released documents, Swalwell told FBI agents he was intimate with Christine Fang, a Chinese national believed to be operating on behalf of Beijing's intelligence apparatus, on multiple occasions. One encounter happened after she simply showed up at his door, as reported here. Let that sink in for a moment.

This is the same guy who occupied a seat on the House Intelligence Committee. The same politician who relentlessly pushed for Donald Trump's removal over Russian collusion claims that Robert Mueller's investigation ultimately could not prove. And the whole time, he was personally entangled with a woman the FBI suspected was a foreign intelligence operative.

The bureau's files paint a damning picture. Investigators found solid evidence that Fang illegally funneled campaign cash to Swalwell by using American citizens as straw donors to hide the money's true origin. She also placed interns inside both his congressional office and campaign operation, a pattern the FBI initially considered a possible bribery arrangement.

The bureau launched a formal investigation with both Swalwell and Fang designated as subjects, looking into potential bribery and violations of campaign finance law. After sitting down with the congressman, agents removed him as a target and focused solely on Fang's criminal conduct. But here is where the story gets truly infuriating. Despite accumulating strong evidence of illegal foreign contributions, conduit donations, and false statements, the Justice Department refused to bring charges after Fang fled back to China.

And who was providing early oversight of this entire matter? None other than Jack Smith, the same prosecutor who would later pursue two separate cases against President Trump using what many considered far weaker evidence. You genuinely cannot make this stuff up.

Swalwell spent years insisting his interactions with Fang were completely above board, claiming he cooperated fully and was properly briefed by authorities. The FBI's own documents now contradict that carefully constructed narrative.

His political downfall accelerated dramatically when he resigned from Congress in April after several women, including a former staff member, came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct and assault. One woman alleged rape. Criminal investigations are currently underway in both New York and California.

These revelations dropped during an absolutely wild week. Trump's primetime national address alleged the CIA had been suppressing intelligence about Chinese election interference. FBI officials were reportedly caught describing internal operations as "shadow governments." And burn bags filled with Obama era documents were discovered unburned at FBI headquarters.

A Chinese intelligence operative compromised a congressman with access to America's most sensitive secrets. The FBI gathered the receipts and then watched prosecutors walk away. The guy who screamed loudest about foreign threats was the one most compromised by them. Washington's hypocrisy has never been more spectacularly documented.
