Investigative journalist Catherine Herridge went through newly released Trump Administration documents on election integrity and found CIA emails suggesting they worked against Donald Trump to benefit China and the Democrats in the 2020 election.
She said she discovered a November 2020 email between intelligence officials stating they had “deliberately massaged” a pending President’s Daily Brief to avoid direct links to the election. This was described as a “multi-domain operation,” involving trade, diplomacy, open-source intel, and social media... essentially all levers of influence China could use to impact the U.S. election.
The CIA allegedly kept this information from the President by removing it from his briefings. In summer 2020, as the election approached, the intelligence community reportedly saw indicators of a Chinese influence operation, distinct from interference, which involves targeting voter systems, and a whistleblower raised concerns before the matter was suppressed.
Some reports even contained handwritten notes from officials expressing a desire to remove anything that could help Trump’s reelection, suggesting political and personal bias.
Former CIA officer Pedro Israel Orta had previously claimed the agency didn’t recognize Trump as President and wouldn’t display his photo.
