Scarlett Gillespie, formerly known as Jelena Vermilion, is a transgender woman and former prostitute now running for mayor of Hamilton, Ontario.
As if this wasn't disturbing enough, there's another twist. A recent campaign footage shows him delivering speeches with a sock puppet sporting googly eyes.
Currently serving as the executive director of the Sex Workers’ Action Program (SWAP) Hamilton, he has been a longtime advocate for sex workers’ rights, housing issues, and trans-related causes.
In other words, nothing anyone actually cares about.
