And boy, did Donald Trump roll out the red carpet for his guy. The president delivered a thundering endorsement, proclaiming that Hagerty "WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN" and has been loyal "from the very beginning." Trump rattled off a laundry list of priorities, from border security to tax cuts to energy dominance, essentially painting Hagerty as his top Senate soldier.

On Capitol Hill, he sits on four major committees including Foreign Relations and Appropriations. Perhaps his splashiest legislative achievement is the GENIUS Act, which Trump signed into law in 2025. That landmark bill created the first federal regulatory framework for stablecoins and positioned America at the forefront of digital asset regulation.
Hagerty has also been banging the drum hard on border security, energy independence, and countering China's growing influence. His constituent services operation has assisted thousands of Tennesseans with everything from veterans' claims to IRS headaches.
Looking toward November, the senator is staying firmly planted on his core message. He has repeatedly declared that his reelection campaign centers on keeping the southern border locked down, removing illegal immigrants who pose safety threats, and putting American citizens first.
The broader picture from Tuesday's primaries showed Trump's endorsed candidates dominating across Tennessee, signaling that the GOP feels rock solid heading into the midterms. For Democrats hoping to flip this Senate seat, the math looks absolutely brutal in one of the reddest states on the map.
