In under two years of Donald Trump's second stint in the Oval Office, a whopping 175,000 visas have been pulled from foreign nationals, and the reasons range from violent felonies to a birth tourism scam that nobody in mainstream media wants to talk about. So who exactly got their golden ticket revoked? The State Department released a fact sheet with some of the most disturbing cases imaginable. One foreign national faced felony charges for rape and sexual battery involving a mentally disabled victim. Another was hit with kidnapping, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation of a minor. Yet another got nabbed for drunk driving, domestic violence, and violently resisting arrest. These are not innocent tourists who accidentally overstayed a weekend getaway.
But here is where it gets really juicy. A U.S. embassy stationed in North Africa pulled more than 100 visas from so called birth tourist parents. Their whole scheme? Fly to America, have a baby on U.S. soil, and boom, that child gets automatic citizenship. It has been happening for decades and almost nobody in the press wants to acknowledge it because doing so means admitting the entire system has been played like a fiddle.
And the exploitation is not just happening at the southern border. After the Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship for children born to undocumented parents last month, billboards reportedly popped up along the border advertising American citizenship for a cool $4,000. The North Africa revocations prove this game is being run through legitimate visa channels too, with people entering legally while hiding their true intentions.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio summed it up pretty bluntly, saying that a U.S. visa is a privilege and not a right. He pledged that under Trump's leadership, the State Department will keep hunting down and revoking visas from anyone who poses a threat to Americans.
The contrast with the previous administration could not be more stark. Under Biden, enforcement was practically a dirty word. The result was millions of unauthorized residents, hundreds of thousands of visa overstays, and a total breakdown in the idea that American law applies equally to everyone standing on American soil.
Now look at the scoreboard under Trump. An estimated 900,000 deportations since January 2025. Potentially 2.2 million more who packed their bags voluntarily. ICE just logged its biggest arrest month in the entire history of the Department of Homeland Security. And now 175,000 visas have vanished into thin air.
Critics on the left are calling it cruel. But the Americans who were protected from the people on that revocation list? They have a very different word for it.
