You literally cannot make this stuff up, folks. A guy running for the United States Senate as a Democrat got himself hauled away in handcuffs by the FBI for allegedly threatening to kill President Donald Trump. Welcome to American politics in 2026!
As Conservative Brief reported, Raymond Chandler of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, was nabbed by federal agents working alongside the Secret Service right there in Pittsburgh. The kicker? Just hours before getting arrested, this genius uploaded a YouTube video announcing his grand plan to take on Senator John Fetterman in the 2028 Democratic primary. Talk about a short-lived political career!
Here is where it gets absolutely wild. Court documents filed in the Western District of Pennsylvania reveal that Chandler allegedly left a voicemail on April 18 for an unnamed member of Congress. In that message, he reportedly described a violent scenario targeting the lawmaker and their family. His alleged justification? That wealth concentration in America had become too extreme. Because apparently that makes threatening families acceptable in his mind.
But he was not finished. Prosecutors say Chandler picked up the phone again on April 29 and left yet another voicemail, this time allegedly urging a congressional member to assassinate the President. He reportedly called Trump "a liar among all liars" and "the antichrist." Congressional staffers contacted law enforcement after his messages grew increasingly aggressive toward Trump, lawmakers, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.
Chandler's campaign platform featured proposals like jacking up taxes on billionaires, beefing up social programs, cracking down on Big Tech, and completely abolishing ICE. None of that matters much now that he is facing federal charges instead of voters.
Meanwhile, the threats against Trump keep piling up at an alarming rate. In a separate case, prosecutors are also pursuing Cole Allen, a 31 year old from Torrance, California, in connection with the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The Department of Justice says Allen allegedly entered the Washington Hilton carrying multiple weapons and tried reaching the ballroom where Trump, Cabinet members, and journalists had gathered.
Allen appeared before a magistrate judge wearing a blue jail uniform and faces staggering charges, including attempted assassination of the President, discharging a firearm during a violent crime, and illegally transporting weapons across state lines.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jocelyn Ballantine told the court bluntly that Allen tried to assassinate Trump and requested he remain locked up pending trial. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro held a press conference afterward, declaring that Allen's "journey of accountability" was just beginning and warning that more charges could follow.
The sheer volume of threats against this president is staggering. Whether you love him or cannot stand him, everyone should agree that political violence and threats have absolutely no place in our democracy. Period.
