(Crankers) Donald Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron and Zelensky from Ukraine at the Elysee Palace ahead of the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral that caught fire five years ago.
Trump and Macron had their typical handshake feud where it seems like they’re shaking hands for an eternity and Trump usually wins because he towers over Macron like a grown up to a French fry.
It appears Trump and Macron met for a while on their own and Zelensky seems to have arrived later. Zelensky was wearing his typical sweatsuit-looking outfit, and he was mocked all over social media for this. He’s the guy who takes billions of dollars from America and won’t even wear a suit to meet other world leaders.
At some point, Trump said, “It certainly seems like the world is, going a little crazy right now. And we’ll be talking about that.” Trump also wants to help end the war between Russia and Ukraine, but it’s unclear what the next step in that process would be.

It’s always a spectacle when these handshakes happen, but the real substance is in the discussions about Ukraine and the Middle East. Given Trump’s unpredictable nature, it’s hard to gauge what ‘ending the war in Ukraine swiftly’ could mean without specifics. Any thoughts, Frank? Do you think Trump has a solid plan up his sleeve, or is this just typical bravado?
You think Macron and Zelensky are on board with whatever Trump is proposing? Doesn’t seem like Zelensky’s casual attire screams ‘serious negotiations’ to me.
