Gotta love it when liberal media figures purposely push a Donald Trump comment out of context. Former President Donald Trump was talking about the automotive industry suffering a "bloodbath" if he loses the election and Democrats remain in office. However, leftists have been cutting the video short or editing it so it seems like Trump is calling for a war. Trump was talking about the auto industry during his speech, not people literally fighting each other.
Trump has already responded to the Democrats taking his comments out of context and using them to spin a false narrative, something the leftwing media does all the time because they're just baiting people for clicks at this point. Trump said on Truth Social: "The Fake News Media, and their Democrat Partners in the destruction of our Nation, pretended to be shocked at my use of the word BLOODBATH, even though they fully understood that I was simply referring to imports allowed by Crooked Joe Biden, which are killing the automobile industry.
Trump further said: “The United Auto Workers, but not their leadership, fully understand what I mean. With the Electric Car Mandate being pushed by Biden, there soon won’t be any cars made in the USA – UNLESS I’M ELECTED PRESIDENT, IN WHICH CASE AUTO MANUFACTURING WILL THRIVE LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!”
What was Trump’s ‘bloodbath’ comment? Trump was doing a rally in Ohio and he was talking about the auto industry, the push for electric, and cars being imported etc. He said something about China and trying to sell cars to America. Trump was trying to make a point that if Democrats stay in office, the American auto industry would get destroyed, aka, see a bloodbath.
Trump specifically said: “No, we’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected,. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a blood bath for the country; that’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories…”
And of course, the leftwing media, and even Joe Biden, used just one word out of his speech to spin their fake news stories and act like Donald Trump wants actual blood to be spilled. That certainly was not what Trump meant and anyone who thinks logically and understands context would get that. But of course, the liberals wanted to spin this on purpose.
