(Crankers) Georgia lawmaker Geoff Duncan was expelled, unanimously, from the Georgia Republican Party and later flipped to join the Democrats.
Duncan was very outspoken, delivering criticism of Donald Trump and GA state Republicans over the efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. This caused him to be expelled in a unanimous vote.
Duncan then joined the Democratic Party this month and suggested he might run for governor as a Democrat. Even though he was expelled, Duncan said this switch was coming for a while.
Duncan also endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. Geoff Duncan had suggested, that “If you vote for Kamala you’re not a Democrat, you’re a patriot.
