(Crankers) Conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been pronounced dead after being shot in the neck during an event today.
The White House issued a statement from President Donald Trump:
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Kirk was shot during an event at Utah Valley University.
Kirk was on stage for his “American Comeback Tour” when shots were fired from a nearby building.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing Kirk bleeding from his neck and security rushed him away from the scene.
A suspect was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Kirk was the only person reported shot in the incident.
