(Crankers) Anibal Hernandez-Santana is a 64-year-old Sacramento man who was recently arrested by the FBI in connection with a shooting at the ABC10 television station.

On Friday, September 19, multiple shots were fired into the lobby of the ABC10 building in Sacramento. No one was physically harmed, but a person was inside the lobby at the time.

Hernandez-Santana was arrested by Sacramento Police on Friday evening and was booked on local charges, including assault with a deadly weapon.

He posted bail and was released from the Sacramento County Jail on Saturday, September 20.

Hours after his release, the FBI took him into custody on a federal hold.

He is accused of interfering with government-licensed broadcast communications, a violation of federal statute 47 USC 333.

While a motive for the shooting has not been officially confirmed, news reports note the shooting occurred after a protest related to the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Hernandez-Santana has also reportedly posted anti-Trump comments on social media.

Reports indicate that Hernandez-Santana was previously a legislative director for the California Federation of Teachers and was fired from a previous job in 2018 after a confrontation with supervisors.

He is scheduled to appear in Sacramento federal court on Monday and in Sacramento Superior Court for the local charges on Tuesday.
