Donald Trump is sitting on roughly $800 million in political cash and he plans to unleash it all.

The president revealed in a recent interview with Punchbowl News that the super PAC MAGA Inc. has stockpiled a jaw dropping fortune, and he intends to funnel those resources directly into backing Republican candidates ahead of the 2026 midterms. As reported, the GOP is swimming in money while its opponents are literally going broke.

And when we say broke, we mean it. The Democratic National Committee is so strapped for cash that it had to put up its own office building as collateral just to secure a $15 million loan. The DNC currently owes more than it actually possesses. That is not a typo. The opposition party is operating in the red while Trump is rolling around in green.

"I could spend it on pretty much anything I want. I'm going to help Republicans," Trump told the subscription outlet. He also pointed out that nobody forced him to fly out to Nevada and Los Angeles last week to stump for GOP hopefuls. He did it because he wanted to, despite what he described as an already packed schedule.

Now here is where things get really spicy. The Republican Party is gearing up for its first midterm convention next month in Dallas, and the game plan is aggressive. Party brass reportedly intend to paint Democrats as captives of their most radical activists. According to Axios, convention organizers are preparing video montages featuring political commentator Hasan Piker along with Senate hopefuls James Talarico of Texas and Abdul El-Sayed of Michigan, framing them as far outside where most Americans actually stand.

Trump himself set the tone during his Nevada speech, declaring that "communists" would bring nothing but "filth, crime, death, destruction, embarrassment" if given power.

But it is not just Republicans piling on. Even centrist Democratic allies are sounding alarms. Third Way, a moderate advocacy organization, is reportedly launching a $15 million offensive specifically targeting the Democratic Socialists of America. The group called the socialist movement a "mortal danger" to the party's electoral future.

Third Way's Executive Vice President for Policy Jim Kessler offered some blunt advice this week, warning progressive candidates not to celebrate primary victories too early. "You won it by a whisker, you got to win the general election," he cautioned, adding that moderate voters remain essential in swing states like Michigan.

Meanwhile, DNC vice chair David Hogg seemed to push back on the moderate wing entirely, telling CNN that centrists "need to figure out how to actually offer something new" instead of recycling their 2024 playbook.

So the Democrats are broke, divided, and fighting each other while Trump is sitting on a mountain of cash with a clear mission. Historically, the party controlling the White House loses congressional seats during midterms. But with $800 million and a fractured opposition, Trump might just rewrite that script entirely.
