This Down Syndrome Latina Just Made History With a Law Degree

In recent years, many people with Down Syndrome have reached remarkable milestones for the community. One making Latino history is 25-year-old Ana Victoria Espino de Santiago from Zacatecas, Mexico, who aimed high and achieved her dreams.

With the support of her parents and her own determination, she became one of the few individuals with Down Syndrome to graduate from college, specifically law school. While some men in similar circumstances have done the same, she may be the first woman to achieve this, according to an extensive search by the Latin Times.
