A Conroe, Texas woman, Dasha Kilpatrick, filmed directing racist and anti-Muslim remarks at two shoppers at an H-E-B grocery store, subsequently had an online fundraiser created on her behalf that raised over $140,000.
In the viral video, Kilpatrick is seen taking a stand after two Muslim women were provoking her. The two women purposely tried to start trouble and were already recording when it all went down. Then the woman stood up for herself, telling the troublemakers they were not welcome in the state or the country and demanding they "go back to your Islamic country."
Job Termination: Following the widespread circulation of the video, the establishment where Kilpatrick worked as a massage therapist in Conroe, Texas, terminated her employment.
But the good news is that someone started a fundraiser for her and it's now raised money to help her get back on her feet as she looks for new work.
The online crowdfunding campaign was launched to support Kilpatrick after her firing, which drew swift backlash but also garnered over $145,000 from supporters as the story gained national attention.
It's a shame that she was fired when she was just standing up for herself and dishing out the drama that the two Muslim ladies wanted so bad. Why start trouble for no reason? Must be a scumbag, right? Would you deport the two instigators over this?
