Team Trump Turns Taylor Swift's Album Into Republican Propaganda

Oh, this is SPICY. Donald Trump's social media squad just went full savage on Taylor Swift, and honestly, the pettiness level is off the charts.

The Team Trump TikTok page completely hijacked Swift's iconic 2012 record and rebranded it as "Red (Trump's Version)," slapping the president's face right where Taylor's used to be on the album cover. As The American Tribune reported, the whole thing is a gloriously petty riff on Swift's famous re-recordings, where she released new "Taylor's Version" editions of her earlier work.

The caption alone deserves an award for sheer audacity. "Did you know Taylor Swift wrote a whole album about the color of the Republican Party?" the post asked, leaning hard into that red connection between the album title and GOP branding. Chef's kiss.

But they didn't stop there. Oh no. They went track by track with Trump-flavored song rewrites that took direct aim at the Biden-Harris administration. "Everything Has Changed" got transformed into a commentary about the southern border. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" became a farewell message to the previous administration. And perhaps the most brutal jab came when they flipped "The Last Time" into a dig about Joe Biden's controversial autopen usage during his presidency.

The TikTok originally featured Swift's actual song "Red" as background music, but that audio mysteriously vanished from the post later. Wonder why.

This wasn't even the only Swift-related content from Team Trump that week. Days earlier, they posted footage of the president and First Lady Melania watching fireworks while Swift's track "August" from her 2020 "Folklore" album played underneath. The caption? "Make August Great Again. (Taylor Swift probably wrote this song about President Trump.)" The NERVE.

Now, some context for those keeping score at home. This ongoing war between Trump and Swift has been brewing for years. The pop megastar publicly backed Kamala Harris following the 2024 presidential debate, which prompted Trump to fire off one of his signature Truth Social declarations: "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" Subtle as always.

Swift had already gone after Trump publicly during the 2020 cycle when she supported the Biden-Harris ticket. So her Harris endorsement in 2024 shocked absolutely nobody. But it gave Trump's digital warriors endless ammunition once he got back into the Oval Office.

The broader pattern here is unmistakable. The administration's social media operation keeps using popular music and cultural references in their content, which repeatedly gets under the skin of liberal entertainers and musicians. And does Team Trump care about ruffling those feathers? Not even a little bit. They seem to actively enjoy poking celebrities who oppose the president.

Say what you want about the strategy, but it generates massive engagement every single time. Politics in 2026 is basically a content war, and Team Trump is playing it like a fiddle. Pun absolutely intended.
