If your students are illiterate, then it starts at home with bad parents who won't hold their kids accountable and push a good education on them.
And it seems to happen more often than not in the same urban neighborhoods across the country where folks reject the idea of being intelligent and getting out of the hood.
If you don't have expectations and be a parent to your child, then they will end up in jail or counting to 6 nuggets when they're 28 and can't read.
