NJ town cancels Fourth of July celebration thanks to violent teen takeovers

Another town in New Jersey has canceled another event thanks to the rotten teen takeovers that keep becoming violent. I don't get it. Why do these kids meet up to hang out and then just fight each other and destroy everything they see and make their culture look absolutely awful.

Mount Holly has canceled its Fourth of July celebration ahead of the country’s 250th anniversary, citing safety concerns. Mount Holly Township and its police department announced the cancellation in a joint statement on Facebook, saying they have been monitoring local events throughout the state that have been canceled due to “alarming violence.”

Officials said they closely tracked events held with increased security measures.

“With our spectators and vendors’ safety top of mind, we could not enact a viable, actionable solution in such a short period of time to alleviate our security concerns without incurring additional, significant costs to the township and our residents,” officials said in the joint statement.

Mount Holly council members Tara Astor and Kim Burkus shared a post on Facebook noting their confusion and concern over the cancellation.
