Trump torched Fox News liberal panelist Jessica Tarlov so hard she jetted off to Hawaii.
The 42 year old co-host of The Five apparently needed some serious R&R after the president took direct aim at her on Truth Social. As reported, Tarlov shared a series of vacation snapshots from Lanai, Hawaii, where she traveled with her husband, hedge fund executive Brian McKenna, for a friend's wedding.
But let's rewind to the moment that started it all. President Trump fired off a blistering Truth Social message about the Fox personality, writing that he cannot tolerate watching her on The Five and calling her a "real loser." Ouch. That is not exactly subtle diplomacy from the commander in chief.
The segment that apparently triggered Trump's wrath featured Tarlov acknowledging on air that no government policy could prevent every single act of violence. She stated plainly that stopping all dangerous individuals is simply impossible. A fairly unremarkable observation, but it was enough to land her in the presidential crosshairs.
This was far from an isolated incident. Tarlov holds the distinction of being among the Fox News personalities Trump has publicly criticized most frequently. That is saying something, considering the network is packed wall to wall with conservative commentators who largely champion his administration. She is essentially the lone liberal voice on one of cable news' most watched shows, and the president clearly does not appreciate her presence.
Tarlov is no stranger to on air fireworks either. She has gotten into multiple explosive confrontations with co-host Greg Gutfeld, including at least one screaming match that had viewers glued to their screens. Her entire brand on the network revolves around clashing with the conservative panelists sitting alongside her.
As for the Hawaiian escape, it appears to be purely personal rather than any kind of permanent departure. Tarlov posted Instagram photos showing the couple enjoying paradise. One image captured her rocking a green and white midi dress covered in banana leaf print while posing beside McKenna against a lush tropical setting. Another snapshot featured the pair hamming it up with goofy expressions. She even shared video footage of them swimming near a waterfall.
"Quick getaway to the most beautiful place on earth with my favorite guy," she wrote in the caption. Tarlov and McKenna tied the knot back in May 2021.
Meanwhile, a growing chorus of MAGA supporters and Republican viewers have been demanding Fox pull the plug on her role entirely. They want her gone from the panel for good. Trump himself has repeatedly voiced frustration with certain Fox News figures, particularly over polling data and commentary he considers biased against his administration.
So while Tarlov soaks up the sun thousands of miles from the studio, the political world keeps spinning. The big question now is whether she comes back from vacation refreshed and ready for another round, or if the heat from the White House will eventually become too much. One thing is certain, the president is not planning to let up anytime soon.
