Iran's regime has officially reached comic book villain levels of unhinged, releasing a propaganda video that literally maps out shopping locations frequented by First Lady Melania Trump and suggests ways to attack her there. Yes, you read that correctly. A state media outlet basically published a how-to guide targeting the First Lady at designer stores. As Conservative Brief reported, the clip was produced by Tasnim News Agency, which is basically the PR department for Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The video, which ran roughly two minutes long, showed footage of Melania's motorcade cruising past upscale Manhattan retailers like Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Red bullseye graphics were slapped over the store signs because subtlety is clearly not in Tehran's playbook. The narration referred to her shopping trips as potential opportunities for "global freedom fighters," which is quite the euphemism for what they were actually suggesting.
It gets even more disturbing. The propaganda piece recommended using VX nerve agent, a deadly liquid that has no smell or taste, to contaminate clothing she might buy. They even named three of Melania's personal stylists and floated the idea of bribing them with cash to carry out the poisoning. So basically Iran went full spy thriller screenplay, except nobody asked for this movie and nobody wants to watch it.
The video wraps up by pivoting to 20 year old Barron Trump with the ominous line telling him to "wait for us." Because apparently threatening a college aged kid is what passes for foreign policy in Tehran these days.
Both Melania and Barron have round the clock Secret Service protection. All Trump family properties, from the White House to Mar-a-Lago to Trump Tower to the Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, are under heavy security. A Secret Service spokesperson confirmed they are aware of the video and investigate all perceived threats, while declining to share operational specifics.
This follows a pattern of escalating threats since the war with Iran kicked off after a joint U.S. and Israeli operation took out the regime's supreme leader and other key figures. Last week, billboards popped up across Tehran calling for the deaths of President Trump and his entire family, including Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, Barron, and Melania. One billboard read "Blood for blood." Another displayed doctored images of Melania, Barron, and Ivanka with closed eyes and the word "KILLED" stamped across them. Real classy stuff from a regime that definitely has its priorities in order.
Melania has maintained a lower public profile recently, skipping last Friday's White House Correspondents' Association dinner due to what a source described as a scheduling conflict. Meanwhile, President Trump switched from the new Air Force One to an older model while leaving Turkey after a NATO meeting earlier this month because of Iranian threats. When reporters asked about the situation, Trump did not mince words, saying he has been on their list for a long time and that he left instructions to bomb them "at levels that they've never seen before" if anything happens.
So to recap, Iran is out here making assassination tutorial videos while simultaneously getting pummeled on the battlefield. Bold strategy, Cotton.
