Police said Wednesday they recovered tens of thousands of images and videos from inside the house on the 400 block of West Chew Avenue. In the first batch they reviewed, detectives found evidence indicating Amarando and another woman, Maribel Fresses, were inside the home and have since died, Inspector Raymond Evers said.
Their bodies have not been found. Amarando has been missing since 2012.
Law enforcement sources told CBS News Philadelphia they fear more missing women may be linked to this house.
Eugene Horsch, who has been in jail since his June arrest near Independence Mall, lived in the house. His father, Raymond Charles Horsch, also lived there before his death in 2025. The father allegedly produced snuff films and wrote about some horrific topics. Also, Raymond's wife Amy McCale disappeared in 2016.
Eugene is now under suspicion in the disappearance of two women, but he’s told police they should focus on his late father, R.C. Horsch, who was in his early 80s when he died last year, according to law enforcement sources.
Eugene claimed his father, who once bragged online about photographing “scantily clad women in sadomasochistic settings,” was actually responsible for the disappearance of his much younger ex-wife, Amy McHale, and another woman, sources said. (source)
Eugene, the younger Horsch, was not charged in any crimes related to the missing women.
Another girl missing from not too far away, Amanda Deguio, has been missing for years and people suggest this might be a lead to finally closing her case, too.
