She lost the presidency TWICE, yet Hillary Clinton simply cannot stop obsessing over Donald Trump. The former Secretary of State popped up on Kara Swisher's "Pivot" podcast with some absolutely jaw-dropping advice for whoever becomes the next Democratic commander in chief, as USA Journal reported. And folks, this one is a DOOZY.
Clinton's big recommendation? Conduct a full-blown cleansing of every single Trump appointee and hire across the federal government. Her exact words: "Get rid of all the holdovers. Do not let anybody hang around in some small office somewhere who can literally subvert your program and you don't even know the person is there."
Let that marinate for a second. This is the SAME woman who spent years telling Americans that the so-called "deep state" was nothing more than a paranoid conservative fever dream. She insisted career government workers were nonpartisan professionals. She warned that Trump's attempts to assert control over executive branch employees posed a serious danger to democracy itself.
Now she's out here on a podcast telling Democrats to systematically hunt down federal workers suspected of being loyal to Trump and boot them out. The irony is so thick you could cut it with a butter knife.
But wait, it gets even juicier. Clinton also cautioned that Trump would "try to move" political appointees into civil service roles to shield them from being fired later. Her solution? She wants Democrats to dig deep and root those people out. "People are going to have to be really searching," she declared, "to make sure they're not going to be literally subverted from within the government."
Here's where the whole thing becomes absolutely wild. CIA whistleblower James Erdman previously described career officials who appointed themselves "the adults in the room" and decided which presidential orders deserved to be followed and which ones could be quietly sabotaged. FBI officials reportedly operated what they themselves called "shadow governments" to keep intelligence away from the White House. NSA personnel allegedly modified Presidential Daily Briefings to hide findings that clashed with preferred political narratives. Nikki Floris described her own operation at the FBI in similar terms.
Clinton is essentially telling future Democratic leaders to construct a bigger, more organized, more deliberate version of that entire apparatus.
The layers of hypocrisy here are absolutely staggering. Democrats savaged Schedule F, Trump's executive order designed to make it simpler to remove civil servants who blocked presidential directives, calling it an attack on professional government workers. Yet Clinton is now publicly advocating for political loyalty screenings across every corner of the federal workforce.
So let's be crystal clear about what just happened. The woman who lost to Donald Trump twice went on a podcast and openly laid out a blueprint for institutional political control of the federal government. No pretense of nonpartisanship. No hiding behind norms. Just a straight-up playbook for consolidating power.
Politics in 2026, ladies and gentlemen. You truly cannot make this stuff up.
