Matt Miller from PolitiBrawl smuggled spy pens into the meeting and captured a full 14 minutes of candid conversation. The star of the show? Diana Moreno, a Democratic Socialist politician currently occupying the state assembly seat previously held by Zohran Mamdani.
Her key quote is the one lighting up the internet right now: "There are so many ways in which illegals can be involved behind the scene. You don't have to have papers to have power." LibsOfTikTok amplified the footage on Monday, and as USA Journal reported, the clip is raising serious alarm bells.
Let that sink in for a moment. An elected official literally stated on camera that undocumented individuals can be recruited and mobilized for socialist political objectives without ever becoming American citizens. Moreno herself represents the DSA's political escalator perfectly. Mamdani climbed to a higher office, and a loyal party operative slid right into his vacated seat. That is how the movement grows, one chair at a time.
The assemblywoman also revealed she became a citizen back in 2016 and spent years hiding her socialist beliefs. She called herself "a closeted socialist" who kept quiet about her ideology. Those days of discretion are clearly finished.
Now zoom out and consider the bigger picture, because the timing makes this recording even more explosive. President Trump's primetime address last month exposed Chinese interference touching 220 million voter files. New Jersey acknowledged that 6,600 noncitizens had been registered on voter rolls. Chuck Schumer loves bragging about Democrats being a big tent party. But here is the uncomfortable question nobody in leadership wants to answer: who exactly is inside that tent? Apparently it now includes elected officials openly strategizing about leveraging undocumented immigrants for political muscle.
Conservative writer Stephen Green offered perhaps the most sobering take. He warned against getting too comfortable watching the DSA consume the establishment Democrats who built the open border framework in the first place.
