The operation, codenamed "Round River," was supposedly about countering foreign influence, according to reports. But what it actually accomplished was something far more sinister. It systematically slapped the "Russian disinformation" label on legitimate corruption allegations involving the Biden family, not because the intel was bogus, but precisely because it was legit.

Fox News, One America News, Rudy Giuliani, and Michael Caputo were all branded as "conduits" spreading Russian propaganda. But hold on, it gets worse. Trump's own Cabinet members, Attorney General Bill Barr and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, ended up on that conduit list too. Republican Senators Chuck Grassley, Ron Johnson, and Lindsey Graham were right there alongside Devin Nunes and Jim Jordan. Their crime? Daring to look into whether the Biden corruption claims held water.
Let that sink in. The FBI was actively running a counterintelligence operation aimed at discrediting sitting Cabinet officials and United States senators who were closing in on the truth.
Three confidential informants backed up the Ukraine corruption claims. One had been reporting since 2012 and described how Ukrainian oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly used Hunter Biden to gain access to American officials. Another detailed alleged bribes totaling $100 million and claimed the CIA pressured Ukrainian prosecutors to abandon the Burisma investigation. A third informant had direct personal contact with Hunter Biden himself. All three were retroactively smeared as Russian assets. Their intelligence was buried.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed he has shut down the Foreign Influence Task Force and is now reviewing whether Round River was weaponized to undermine legitimate investigations by zeroing in selectively on Biden-Ukraine matters instead of presenting a complete picture of foreign threats.
This finally answers the question that has lingered for half a decade. Why did 51 intelligence officials sign that infamous letter calling the Hunter Biden laptop Russian disinformation? Because the FBI had an active operation feeding them that exact narrative. Why was every person who questioned Biden-Ukraine dealings labeled a Kremlin stooge? Crossfire Hurricane manufactured a scandal to torpedo Trump. Round River erased a real one to protect Biden. Those are not conspiracy theories anymore. Those are declassified government documents.
