An Ohio father took matters into his own hands after discovering his 11-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted.
Malik Chandler, 31, pretended to be his daughter on TikTok to lure the accused, 20-year-old Diego Montoya Gonzalez, back to their Grove City home.
The day before, the girl’s mother had found a video on her phone showing the assault. Chandler claimed he intended only to confront and detain Gonzalez until police arrived, but opened fire when he thought Gonzalez was reaching for a gun, hitting him twice.
Gonzalez was hospitalized and later indicted on multiple charges, including rape and pandering sexually oriented material.
Chandler now faces a felony assault charge with a $100,000 bond. The girl’s parents were present in court during Gonzalez’s arraignment. source 1, source 2.
