The York Revolution has canceled and forfeited a game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs after several players declined to wear the team’s planned pride night jerseys with gay pride rainbows. Those players don't support it, and they're not required to support something they don't agree with.

In a statement, the club expressed “great disappointment” and said tickets for the June 18 game will be treated like a rainout, redeemable for any 2026 regular-season home game.

The team explained that hosting the event was more important than forcing players to wear uniforms they weren’t comfortable with.

The special jerseys featured rainbow sleeves, but Atlantic League rules require all uniformed personnel to wear matching uniforms, but that's not their normal uniform and no players ever agreed to wear or support a sexual-based theme.

Fans all over supported the players who took a stand.
