The wasteful spending bill that people all across social media were talking about appears to have been completely derailed, and part of the reason is Elon Musk. The X CEO vowed to fund primary challenges against any Republican who supported the Continuing Resolution (CR) bill, threatening to help primary the politicians who support such a pork-filled bill that would waste American taxpayer money.
A breaking news video on Fox News shows how the CR could likely be DOA. Here’s a few quotes from around X, showing what people are saying as the breaking political news kicks in this evening. Most folks are thanking Elon Musk and sharing the same Fox News video. The bill must’ve had so much wasted spending that there was no way anyone should support it. And if the normal everyday Americans saw what was in it, they’d be glad it’s getting derailed. You can watch the CR spending bill video here or keep reading.
Rep. Anna Paulina: This is not a CR. This is a (poop emoji ) sandwich. Vote NO.
Benny Johnson: BREAKING: Fox News reports that @ElonMusk’s posts vowing to fund primary challenges against Republicans who support the Continuing Resolution have effectively killed the bill. 𝕏 is the most powerful platform on the planet and is forcing the government to answer to the people.
Nick Sortor: Elon Musk posting on 𝕏 threatening to fund the primary opponents of Republicans who voted for the spending bill effectively kılled it, per Fox THANK YOU ELON MUSK
Ian Jaeger – he had a really good post compared to the generic engagement farming stuff where people just share the same content over and over: BREAKING: 30 House Republicans have now come out against the 1,547 page Continuing Resolution Spending Bill that funds the Government. Rep. Cory Mills Rep. Thomas Massie Rep. Tim Burchett Rep. Nancy Mace Rep. Bob Good Rep. Chip Roy Rep. Lauren Boebert Rep. Eli Crane Rep. Michael Cloud Rep. Andy Ogles Rep. Andy Biggs Rep. Paul Gosar Rep. Eric Burlison Rep. Keith Self Rep. Ralph Norman Rep. Andrew Clyde Rep. Dan Bishop Rep. Ralph Norman Rep. Wesley Hunt Rep. Warren Davidson Rep. Kat Cammack Rep. Kevin Kiley Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene Rep. Jeff Van Drew Rep. Matt Rosendale Rep. Tom Tiffany Rep. Victoria Spartz Rep. Randy Weber Rep. Tony Wied…
Ian followed this up with the following: And @realannapaulina has come out against the bill. Make it 31.
Now this is a good post. Thanks, Ian.
