Demographic shifts bring cultural changes, and Minnesota is experiencing this firsthand. Rep. Brandon Gill shared some household statistics: in the state, 81% of Somali-headed households receive welfare, 54% rely on food stamps, and 73% are on Medicaid. Even after a decade in the country, 78% of Somali immigrant households remain on welfare.
