Liz Cheney is facing backlash from Wyoming voters who are calling her out. She once said: “In Wyoming, we ride for the brand, and our brand is the United States Constitution… So, I’m going to ask people for their vote. I’m going to work hard to earn that vote. But people need to know something about me. I will never put party above my duty to the country. I will never put party above my duty to the Constitution. I swore an oath under God and I will abide by that oath. I won’t say something that I know is wrong simply to earn the votes of people to earn political support… We need to recognize that if we are not faithful to the Constitution, if we embrace lies, if we embrace the lies of Donald Trump, if we tell the people of Wyoming something is not true, we will soon find ourselves without the structure and the basis and the framework of our Constitutional Republic.”
WATCH LIZ CHENEY ON VIDEO:
Mary Margaret Olohan shared a video from CNN where they’re talking about Cheney in a not so nice way. Olohan’s caption said: “Here in Cheyenne, more than 1600 miles from Washington, almost everyone we spoke with told us they believe Liz Cheney is too focused on Donald Trump and the January 6th committee and not paying enough attention to what they believe matters to the people here in Wyoming.”
Olohan posted a second message saying: “Cheney’s office points to her remarks in June: “I’m asking for your vote and I’m asking you to understand that I will never violate my oath of office, and if you’re looking for somebody who will, then you need to vote for somebody else on this stage because I won’t.”
Some people said the following about Liz Cheney: “She says she’s defending what’s important to people here in Wyoming, upholding the rule of law and defending the constitution,” Kaye suggested to Wyoming voter Brett Kupec. “If that was the rule of law, why doesn’t he have a defense team in that courtroom?” Kupec responded. “That ain’t a rule of law. That’s a kangaroo court. That’s not the Wyoming way.”
More comments were posted on Twitter, calling out Cheney and even a little bit CNN. Dankbubba wrote: “To many, this is very shocking. I for one never thought CNN cared what people think let alone interviewed them for broadcast. Where is the famous “fair and balanced” panel of CNN analysts to tell their viewers 3 to 6 times the same opinion?”
Freedom wrote: “Almost everyone. I don’t think a single person supported her. Not going to rewatch CNN to verify.”
James: “Sounds right and although Cheney is an especially good example, it happens all through Congress. They spend their time on pet legislation and not on what the people they represent are concerned about.”
Matt: “CNN couldn’t even get this reporting correct. “Cheney is too focused on trump and J6” lol that’s not what I heard. I heard J6 is a sham and so is Cheney.”
