Whoopi Goldberg made a statement against a bakery. The bakery refuted the story. And now people are posting videos and pictures of themselves standing in line at the bakery, supporting the small business. Whoopi accused the bakery of not wanting to bake something for her. The bakery said that wasn’t true, that they couldn’t physically take her order because they were having issues with the boiler and weren’t sure if they could cook that day.
The owner spoke out about Whoopi Goldberg’s story, completely denying what the celebrity said, and told his version of the story. That’s when he revealed the issues with the business boilers and the uncertainty of them being able to cook anything at all that day. The bakery is called Holtermann’s Bakery and a report on MSN included the owner, Jill Holtermann.
So according to the owner, it had nothing to do with Whoopi Goldberg, and everything to do with the equipment. A report on MSN report showed how Whoopi wouldn’t let it go. In fact, she doubles down on it claiming people were still going to get products.
I’m not sure who’s right or wrong in this situation, but I know one thing – I don’t care. I literally could not care if a bakery declined it for boiler reasons, or they simply hate Whoopi Goldberg. If the bakery doesn’t like her and rejected her order for that reason – then cool. If it was an equipment issue, then that’s fine too. I don’t care one bit and I think Whoopi should take it as a hint that a lot of folks don’t care who she is.
