(Crankers) Kamala Harris was mocked on social media for politicizing a school shooting to renew calls for gun control. A teen student and a teacher lost their lives during a school shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin this week. Several others were injured. The shooter, allegedly a teenage female, also lost her life when she pulled the gun on herself and passed away.
Kamala Harris wasted no time in preaching about gun control, using the incident to make it about gun control and politics. However, the biggest issue is identifying people who need help and providing them the support they need before they reach the breaking point and commit a crime.
Think about why people commit these crimes and what pushed them to such a tragic time in their lives that the did the unthinkable. Those folks need help, and that help will go a lot further than any gun control law ever imagined. Not only that, but there are millions of guns in America. There is no way the government will ever be able to confiscate them all. And even if the government tried, the criminals would still have guns hidden away somewhere, leaving people unable to defend themselves.
