(Crankers) Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett may run for a representative position in different congressional district if the newly proposed Texas redistricting map leaves her seatless.
As of now, the redrawn congressional maps of Texas would leave Rep. Crockett without a seat in Dallas, and her next move could be to run for election in a neighboring location – or end her political career entirely.
Many House Democrats fled the state of Texas, breaking quorum over the proposed maps, and then faced consequences for their actions.
Meanwhile, Crockett accused Republicans of ‘cheating’ and purposely drawing maps that would eliminate her seat.
Crockett said during an interview with Eye On Politics: “I’m debating about where I will run where they put me, which is where I live, in 33 (the district).”
In other recent Jasmine Crockett news, she’s being accused of changing her accent based on who her audience is. This is something that Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was also accused of doing at times.
