(Crankers) Actress Halle Berry shocked the audience at the New York Times DealBook Summit with a fierce takedown of California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Berry pointed out reasons why she doesn’t like Gavin Newsom, how he treats women, and suggested that he should never be president.
She said, “Back in my great state of California, my very own governor, Gavin Newsom, has vetoed our menopause bill, not one, but two years in a row. But that’s OK, because he’s not going to be governor forever, and the way he has overlooked women, half the population, by devaluing us, he probably should not be our next president either. Just saying.”

Berry’s public rejection of a Newsom presidency comes as he vetoed the Menopause Care Equity Act (AB 432) in October. The bill would mandate health insurance companies to expand menopause and perimenopause treatment coverage as well as require healthcare providers to receive training on menopause care. Berry, 59, has become an outspoken health advocate for women, launching Respin Health, which is focused on “revolutionizing menopause care.” (source)
