Another one bites the DEI dust! Target is rolling back on their DEI initiatives. This is a good thing because there's no point for any company to have DEI in the first place. Just hire the people who are good at the job, no matter who or what they are. When you focus on only hiring certain people, then you're not focused on top talent and your company will suffer and be mocked all across the planet.

Target has decided to make some changes to its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, aligning itself with other big names like Walmart, Meta, and McDonald's. In a recent memo to its team, Target shared that it will be ending its three-year DEI goals, halting reports to external organizations like the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, and concluding a program that highlighted products from Black- or minority-owned businesses.

Target initially bolstered these initiatives following the tragic event of George Floyd's murder in its hometown of Minneapolis.
