A video circulating on social media shows ESPN host Scott Van Pelt having an awkward reaction to two men kissing during a New Year's Eve segment, same reaction the rest of us had as no one wants to see this stuff.
During the New Year's coverage on ESPN, the broadcast cut to various live feeds showing couples kissing to celebrate midnight. When two dudes appeared on screen, social media users highlighted a change in Van Pelt's commentary, which they interpreted as visible disgust or discomfort with the specific display. Obviously, we were all disgusted by it. Between that and Stranger Things being completelty ruined, I don't know why these small percentages of people think the rest of us want to see this. WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE IT.
The exchange began with Van Pelt encouraging the segment, saying, "Yeah... Live makeouts on Sports Center. Get into it". However, when the camera panned to the two men, his tone and words shifted noticeably. He can be heard saying, "Ohhhhhhhh! What are we...." before quickly catching himself and changing the subject of conversation, mostly so he doesn't get in trouble with the corporate agenda pushers.
A short clip of this moment was shared widely across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, sparking debate. Critics online viewed this as a clearly negative, "disgusted" reaction. Van Pelt has not publicly commented on this specific incident as of early January 2026.
So basically, Scott Van Pelt is all of us as we're getting sick and tired of the forced agenda nonsense.
