Police identified the man who stabbed a woman to death on a train in Atlanta

Police have identified the suspect in the fatal stabbing of a woman on a public train in Atlanta as John Elijah, a Black male. The victim, 66-year-old Margaret Swan, was sitting alone when Matthews approached and stabbed her in the throat broad daylight. Swan screamed and tried to stand, but Matthews restrained her and stabbed her 18 more times. CCTV footage reportedly shows Matthews throwing her to the floor and standing over her until the train reached Oakland City Station. Authorities are not releasing the footage.
