Seems like Tucker Carlson is doing just fine since leaving Fox News. He’s got videos streaming on X that get millions of views and now Tucker Carlson’s media company, named Last Company, just signed a big ad deal worth $1 million, at least. Things seemed like they could fall apart at any moment for Tucker Carlson once he left Fox News, but then he found a way.
Tucker Carlson’s media company signed the ad deal with Public Square, which is a shopping ad that a lot of conservatives like to use. The Public Square app is most commonly known and seen as PublicSq and they recently went public on the New York Stock Exchange.
So that’s pretty big news and great for Tucker Carlson and his family, crew, and whomever helps him create his politically-charged videos for X. Will this be the first of many big advertising deals for Tucker Carlson? Probably not, but obviously the results of this ad campaign could dictate the way moving forward with new deals. CNBC reported on Tucker Carlson’s big advertising deal worth at least a million. CNBC’s report said the following, which included notes from the PublicSq app’s CEO Michael Seifert:
PublicSq. is the first of likely several other advertisers moving to partner with Carlson at a pivotal time in national politics, as the 2024 presidential election is just over a year away. The PublicSq. ads are set to air on Carlson’s show, which runs on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, starting in November and through the final months of next year’s campaign, according to Seifert.
“People are going to be paying attention,” he said.
The ads will also appear on Carlson’s other platforms, including his website, Seifert added.
The app and its leaders have pushed against environmental, social and governance investment policies in business. The product’s pitches will be woven into Carlson’s show, Seifert said.
“Tucker is going to speak very candidly of the importance of patriotic small businesses and if viewers want to support it, go to Public Square,” Seifert said.
How successful will this ad campaign be for PublicSq? That remains to be seen. Obviously it will look good to Tucker Carlson’s fans, but is the app any good? That’s up for the users to decide. And just because Tucker Carlson advertises something, that doesn’t mean it’s any good. PublicSq still has to perform great for the users who download the app. Once users get to the app, they’ll decide for themselves if it’s worth using or not.
Apps need to be user friendly, prices need to be respectable and competitive, and most of all – the customer support goes a long way. If PublicSq can perform highly in each of those three categories, at the very least, then they should be on to great things.
What will Tucker Carlson do next?
