President Donald Trump’s legal team suffers loss when federal judge in PA dismisses their lawsuit in hopes to invalidate votes. The federal judge has ruled that PA can now certify their votes for the election.
It was Matthew Brann, a United States Middle District Judge, who stated that Trump’s legal team provided “strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations,” also noting that these were “unsupported by evidence” as stated by The Hill.
Trump’s campaign filed the lawsuit suggesting there was irregularities in the voting processes across multiple counties in PA. Judge Brann disagreed, stating that “in the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state. Our people, laws, and institutions demand more,” suggesting there was also just not enough evidence to rule in favor of the Trump campaign.
It’s unclear what Trump’s legal team will do as a result, but there may not be anything further they can do about PA if the case was dismissed.
This week it was reported that Rudy Giuliani had asked a judge to ignore voters and designate Trump as the winner in PA, as seen in Business Insider:
The Trump campaign on Wednesday night asked a federal judge to ignore Pennsylvania voters and declare President Donald Trump the winner of the state’s 20 electoral votes.
In a court filing signed by Rudy Giuliani and Marc Scaringi — the two remaining attorneys on the case after everyone else quit — the campaign asked for the judge to hand over Pennsylvania’s electors.
“Ultimately, Plaintiffs will seek the remedy of Trump being declared the winner of the legal votes cast in Pennsylvania in the 2020 General Election, and, thus, the recipient of Pennsylvania’s electors,” they wrote.
What’s next if Trump’s legal team is unsuccessful remains unclear.
One thing that’s clear is Trump’s legal team has faced fact checks and, at times, appear to be hyping up a “Kraken” of evidence, but so far have shown little to nothing. Attorney Lin Wood was sharing a video showing a bright green truck pulling up behind a building, showing papers in a trashcan or boxes, and getting people on social media riled up over what the video is showing. However, once the view plays, viewers can see that the video doesn’t show or prove anything at all, besides the fact a recycling truck pulled up in the broad daylight and documents that might have been envelopes or papers, but no one can tell for sure. The video essentially shows nothing useful to the Trump legal team other than speculation, but no concrete evidence.
The video is below, and a woman claims they are shredding ballots, but she also asks “what are they shredding” and it’s not clear at all what the papers are. Lin Wood said about this video, “Looks to me like they may be destroying election documents in Cobb County, GA. What do you think? #FightBack Against Election Crimes.” Wood was careful to say it “looks” and not that it is.

As stated on AP, “Trump attorney Sidney Powell spun fictional tales of election systems flipping votes, German servers storing U.S. voting information and election software created in Venezuela “at the direction of Hugo Chavez” — the late Venezuelan president who died in 2013. She also said Trump beat Democrat Joe Biden “by a landslide,” which he decidedly didn’t — Biden was the clear winner.”
