It turns out that the Chrisley’s really don’t know best. Reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were both sentenced to federal prison on charges related to tax fraud. The couple was found guilty on things like tax evasion, bank fraud and conspiring to defraud the IRS, which is not a good idea. The sentencing happened five months after a grueling trial in which the jury ruled against the television stars. Todd, 53, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Julie, 49, was sentenced to only seven years in prison. Both are required to serve 16 months probation following the completion of their jail time, as confirmed by US Weekly.
Todd and Julie got married back in 1996. The reality TV couple has three children together. The children are a son named Chase, who’s 26, daughter Savannah who’s 25, and their youngest son Grayson who is only 16 and was recently in a car accident and hospitalized. CBS News reported the accident took place in Nashville and Grayson as transported to a hospital due to injuries. He’s also reportedly unable to remember details from the accident.
Needless to say, it has been a tough month for the Chrisley family. It remains unclear what will happen to the show ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ or any of the spinoffs, but there probably won’t be much of a future unless they film episodes in jail.
