TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew testifies, makes Congress look clueless
TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew testifies on the social media company’s consumer privacy and data security practices and its relationship with the Chinese government at a House Energy & Commerce Committee hearing. He made every member of Congress look like a bunch of clueless dinosaurs as he gave them really simple answers for their senseless questions. At one point someone asked if TikTok can access someone’s home wifi – are you kidding me? It’s an app on your phone and it needs the INTERNET, so yeah, it will access whatever wifi the person is connected to. It’s like these people don’t have an Amazon Alexa sitting in their living room or other social networks tracking them on a daily basis. This is mostly all for advertising and trying to put products in front of people they’re more likely to buy. It’s all about the money folks, that’s pretty much it and every darn website and app out there who uses advertising is doing this in some form or another. It ain’t about spying, it’s about making money.
Our government is filled with idiots and one look out your window will prove it. Look how America is doing right now, and ask me if we should be worrying about TikTok or not?
Also the government phones should not have ANY social media apps on them. Maybe if the elected dummies got off Twitter for five minutes, they’d actually get something done.
