A Texas sheriff has supposedly taken matters into his own hands when he was reportedly driving captured illegal immigrants BACK to Mexico, as reported by independent journalist, Ali Bradley and later verified by NY Post and The Epoch Times.
Bradley wrote: “#BREAKING Kinney Co. Sheriff’s Office is taking matters into its own hands—Sending undocumented individuals back to Mexico. Sheriff Brad Coe tells he called US Border Patrol after a smuggling pursuit/rollover to come pickup 4 uninjured migrants who were involved…”
She continued: “The Sheriff says BP Agents wouldn’t take them because they were not cleared by the ER department but KCSO couldn’t take them to the ER because they didn’t have enough deputies to stay with the migrants while they were being checked out…”
Another post said: “The sheriff says two of his deputies loaded them up and brought them back across the Eagle Pass point of entry. “If it came to the point where I have to put them in my truck and take them over there I will…” He did & says he will continue to do it because of a lack of resources.”
NY Post had the scoop: “Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe told the Epoch Times the migrants were discovered after a suspected smuggling vehicle his deputies were pursuing crashed on Wednesday morning.Five illegal immigrants were found inside the vehicle, including a woman who had to be taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The sheriff said Border Patrol agents had told him they could only apprehend the four other migrants if they’d been medically assessed at a hospital first.“They had declined any type of medical help,” Coe said of the four uninjured migrants.
“So I can’t let them walk the streets. I can’t say, ‘Hey, go, be free.’ Because I still have to protect the Constitution and protect the people in the county.”He added, “To let them go, undocumented, unaccounted for, just go because of a policy — I couldn’t do it.””
As expected, at least one civil rights attorney wanted information on what happened. Kate Huddleston posted: “Reportedly, the Kinney County, TX sheriff transported 4 migrants to Mexico today. State & local gov’ts have no lawful authority to deport people We @ACLUTX & our partners @TXCivilRights are demanding info from Kinney County on this stop & any policy of sending migrants to Mexico.”
