UPDATE 12/8/24: This post is waiting for more clarification from the FEC on the Kamala Harris campaign spending records to verify if they ended in debt, or ended in a surplus, etc. A recent story on Snopes said, “As of Oct. 16, the Harris campaign had raised more than $997 million directly, including money raised by the Biden campaign before he dropped out. It had spent $880 million, meaning that through Oct. 16 the campaign had surplus of $118 million and was not in debt.”
Below is the original report. We based it on information we received on social media and some other sources, but now it seems like those original reports MAY have had their math wrong. We need to see what the FEC says before making a correct call on this story.
Kamala Harris may have ended her presidential campaign facing over $20 million in debt. Many people now want to know where that money went? How was it spent? And how did Kamala’s campaign get THAT DEEP into the negatives after losing the 2024 election to Donald Trump? As it turns out, allegedly paying celebrities and talking heads did not work on the average American.
And now that Kamala’s historic failed campaign is over and they’re millions in debt, the common people of the world are wondering where all that money went. How much of that money went to celebrities, friends, or whomever for jobs or appearances – and was it all really a presidential campaign, or a scripted pile of money laundering? It’s just a hypothetical question, but a very real possibility, yet one with little chance of an investigation.
Inquiring minds want to know EXACTLY how and where Kamala Harris’ campaign spent all that money. Celebrities, venues, jobs, who knows – but it’s not good. You can’t spend about a billion bucks on a campaign, lose, be in debt over it, and everyone will be like “oh, that’s fine.” No, it’s not, because there’s money that needs to get PAID and the money that already got paid is now facing scrutiny and a possible investigation.
Many people are now accusing of Kamala’s campaign of money laundering, but they would need a full investigation to really prove anything at all. Collin Rugg shed more light on the situation, reporting the following on Kamala’s involvement with Al Sharpton:
Kamala Harris’ campaign dished out $500k to Al Sharpton’s nonprofit just weeks before her big interview with him.
So… was the Harris campaign just one big money laundering scheme?
According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Harris campaign sent one $250k payment on September 5 and then another $250k payment on October 1.
On October 3, Sharpton shared a video of Harris wishing him a happy birthday.
About two weeks later on October 20, Sharpton had an interview with Kamala Harris where he praised her for her “extraordinary historic campaign.”
He also blasted Trump for being “hostile and erratic.”
