This video was released on NY Post and it shows the close-range execution of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan. The video does not show anything graphic, but is chilling regardless.
It appears Thompson was shot in the back by a suspect in a hoodie and backpack. The shooter fired three shots total, it appears – and the victim had tried to get away, but couldn’t Thompson turned and faced the killer before trying to crawl away to safety.
A witness was nearby and suggests the weapon jammed, but the witness took off running as fast as they could to avoid being a second victim.
NY Post further reported:
The shooter fled on foot into an alleyway before mounting an e-Citi Bike on Sixth Avenue and disappearing into Central Park, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said at a late morning news conference.
Thompson was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He was arriving at the Hilton for UnitedHealthcare’s annual Investor Day conference, which was shut down after news of the brazen Wednesday morning slaying broke.
