Former president of the U.S., Donald Trump, has canceled a planned press conference that was supposed to take place on January 6. The date will mark the one-year anniversary of the incident at the U.S. Capitol. A number of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol almost a year ago, causing an incident over lawmakers validating Biden’s electoral victory. The media described the incident as one of the worst attacks on the U.S. Capitol in centuries.
Trump blamed the House select committee for the cancellation. Since the planned news conference was canceled, Trump announced that he would have a press conference during a rally in Arizona on January 15 to discuss a variety of topics.
Before officially canceling the conference, Trump called out the Unselect Committee of Democrats, the fake news media, and two Republicans he regarded as failures. He predicted that there would be a large crowd in Arizona.
Fans expected Trump to condemn the House select committee for examining the events of January 6. Nonetheless, Trump’s press conference may have posed a political danger for him, as he is rumored to be considering a run for the White House in 2024.
It’s unclear what the former President Donald Trump will schedule next or if he plans to reschedule this event.
Some speculate it could have been a trick to play on the left-wing media to get them hyped up, only to cancel it and leave them gasping for ratings.
