Host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has put his foot down and made the demand that his fans and anyone else start to “get rid of” one particular GOP member and those who are similar. Colbert targeted Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) in his monologue, referring to him as an “idiot” and using him as an example of the GOP members he’d like to have removed from their positions of power.
His method of getting rid of them is to simply vote them out of office.
Colbert spoke in a ten minute monologue and unleashed his thoughts and opinions on the current climate revolving around political figures, 2A, and really hitting his views as he sees fit.
This all comes as America suffers two sad and unfortunate crimes over the last few weeks and healing is much needed.
Does Stephen Colbert have all the answers or is this simply his opinions and not a working solution?
WATCH and decide:
One notable quote from Stephen Colbert’s monologue said, “Oh, we definitely have an idiot control problem. It’s people who don’t recognize that this country has long had a gun problem, John Kennedy. So when idiots like John Kennedy refuse to do anything about getting rid of idiots’ guns, it’s clearly time to get rid of idiots like John Kennedy. And that means voting them out!”
