Don’t ever say this isn’t art. If you think this is anything besides a ‘tree,’ then your mind is in the gutter. Clearly, the height and color indicate it’s a tree – but the shape suggests it might get planted somewhere else.
This giant green inflatable was erected in a Paris square around ten years ago. The artist, Paul McCarthy, named the curiously shaped object ‘tree.’
You might want to say Merry Christmas when you see this, but it was inflated and installed in October of 2014. Back then, they didn’t start selling Christmas decorations that early. It was still somewhat normal ten years ago.
