President Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, for a specific date range and people like Jon Stewart are questioning it. The president previously said he wouldn’t pardon his son, but most dads would pardon their kid – so there was no actual surprise here. It was just Joe Biden saying one thing but doing another – going back on his word, but Joe shouldn’t have said this in the first place. Most people think he knew all along that he would pardon his son. It’s his son, after all.
Hunter Biden’s pardon covers the gun and tax crimes. The date of the pardon covers any federal crimes that “he committed” or “may have committed” between the dates of January 1, 2014 – all the way through December 1, 2024. That’s approximately 11 years when you count it out.
