John Cougar Mellencamp ruined his own show and I hope fans get a refund! This guy was singing and randomly started talking about some other stuff. Whatever it was – it wasn’t singing. That’s when the audience got a little tired of it and at least one guy said “just play some music” and JCM got mad.
The singer said he could end the show and go home if he wanted to. People were booing. He started playing a song and people got back into the music, but then John Cougar Mellencamp abruptly stopped and said the show is over. I guess we can call him John Karen Mellencamp now.
A good buddy over at HollywoodInToto – a celebrity and Hollywood blog worth reading – reported further on the incident with John Cougar Mellencamp walking off the stage. He mentioned that people on social media are saying Mellencamp was booed for supporting Biden, but it wasn’t exactly the case. It was more because JCM was going off the rails instead of playing music.
